• The nursing courses (B.Sc. Nursing, G.N.M., A.N.M. & Post basic B.Sc. Nursing) should be planned around the nursing care need of the society as well as the educational needs and personal development of nursing students.

After completion of the B.Sc. Nursing, G.N.M. & A.N.M. Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing students will be able to:
Provide competent, safe, high-quality, and culturally sensitive nurse-midwifery care to address the health needs of people from a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, family structures, and communities.
Critically evaluate theories, concepts, and research findings from nursing, midwifery, and related sciences for translation into clinical practice.
Use effective communication and leadership skills in inter professional teams to promote positive change in the health care of people, newborns, and families.
Apply principles of transformative justice and the social determinants of health in the evaluation of health policies and advocacy for the health of people and families in local, national, and international contexts.
Assess health status and identify nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for individuals, families and communities.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the scientific principles underlying the techniques and methods used in nursing for providing holistic nursing care to the sick in the hospital and in the community.
Develop the student's sensitivity and skill in human relationships and communication in daily work.
Demonstrate leadership and administrative skills in working with the health care team, community and others in the provision of health care.
